I serve as pastor at First Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas.
I have a beautiful, smart and talented wife, Kristi, of over 32 years. She and I have three awesome sons and two daughters in law. We are learning and growing together as a family as we experience life together. The life of a ministry family is never a dull moment but none of us would change a thing. We love sports, especially basketball, and just spending time together.

Brian,
I just checked out your latest blogs. I really look forward to this study. I am wondering why you recommended the book “Silence” as if I talk too much (joke!). I will have to read that. As for Tuesday’s blog, I agree that God allows things to happen. What most people struggle with is the why. It is easier to point fingers than to accept the reality. I often think God allows things to change those left behind. I once had a fiance that died. I asked why fifty different ways and then some more. Twenty years later I see how my life has grown, changed, and enriched with God’s love. Obviously I would have grown but perhaps not the way I should have. Maybe now for Haiti we should pray for the way that lay ahead of them along with relieving the pain of now.

nice blog.
Thank you – and thanks for reading.
Hello way over there in west Tx. I am in central Tx–Temple.
I’m a member of First Baptist Church Temple. Maybe you heard our church burned by arson last January.
Please pray for our church:
Where to rebuild.
A division has already began as to what decision to make about rebuilding.
Our church staff and committee’s that they will have wisdom and discernment.
That we will follow Jesus even if that makes us fearful/uncomfortable.
That we will trust in Him and not be led astray by our fear of challenge and change.
Thank you.
i like this. it’s a great blog. 🙂
Thanks for the compliment – it is encouraging to think my ramblings might inspire, comfort or challenge another! Thanks so much for reading!
